RAROIA THE PARADISE ISLAND

A New Sun rose over paradise in 1966, the sun of the atomic bomb. Massive amounts of radioactive nuclides spread over the entire South Pacific. The French rulers assured that the mushroom clouds where guaranteed harmless and that they would lead to extraordinary economic development. The consequence however are immeasurable poising of the environment and tragic deterioration of the once selffufficent families from the islands of Polynesia into slum in Tahiti.
