The Condor Man
Initially I was never supposed to make this film. It was the testament of Torgny Anderberg. It was to be his last film. Torgny became very ill and be asked me to go to Peru to shoot some complementary material. While I was there, Torgny told me be only bad a few days left to live. I wanted to go to him, but he said: "You're gonna stay, kid. You're gonna finish this film".
The Condor Man is a film about Torgny's last journey, showing how great the will to live can be even in the shadow of death. It is also Torgny Anderbergs last wish to make the world aware of the extremely difficult conditions the indigenous people all through the Amazon are facing today. The film is dedicated to the Ashaninka chief Amadeo and is aiming to put a focus on the urgency of their situation.
